Our Story
Glow Sister Sister Empowerment Hub was founded to respond to a critical gap in support for Black girls and young women across Simcoe County and the Greater Toronto Area. Too many young Black girls grow up without safe spaces that honor their identity, nurture their mental health, and help them build the confidence to lead, create, and dream boldly.
ounded by Shanique Marshall, Glow Sister Sister began as a passion to uplift underserved girls who often navigate challenges in silence, from self-esteem barriers to cultural identity struggles to limited mentorship opportunities.
What started as small community gatherings has grown into a vibrant empowerment movement rooted in sisterhood, healing, leadership, and opportunity.
Today, Glow Sister Sister provides mentorship, wellness support, entrepreneurship training, leadership development, community programs, and meaningful connections that help Black girls thrive. We stand as a home, a resource, and a community for every girl who walks through our doors.

Meet the Founder
Shanique Marshall
Founder, Glow Sister Sister Empowerment Hub
Shanique is a passionate advocate for Black girl empowerment, youth wellness, and community development. Her lived experiences, mentorship background, and deep commitment to uplifting young Black girls inspired her to build a space where girls could feel valued, celebrated, and supported.
She believes that when a girl feels safe, confident, and empowered, she becomes unstoppable, and that every Black girl deserves someone cheering for her, guiding her, and reminding her that she matters.
Glow Sister Sister is her vision brought to life: a movement of healing, leadership, growth, and sisterhood.
